And, Pragmatically, what's the harm in starting? Good if no Rapture, and the bill never comes due otherwise, unless "Judgment Day" is more legal than moral as applied.

*Not to mention that if one is going to get all eschatological, one shouldn't forget about the prophesies about the Temple and since the Temple site is currently occupied by a mosque, predicting the end times before it is rebuilt seems to ignore some pretty important elements.

They demolished much of Bucharest's historic district, including 19 Orthodox Christian churches, six Jewish synagogues, three Protestant churches (plus eight relocated churches), and 30,000 residences, to build it. I heard that they wanted to blow it up, but it was too expensive:
