OK, but even so. My only point is that SM has made a big thing out of dedicating infrastructure to housing them (though sans coffee cups, apparently, which the homeless can obtain just up the coast).

I took another listen to see if you had a point. As usual, it's a foul truth you utter. However, your complaints about the quality of Tweedy's voice are somewhat mitigated by your continued appreciation for Neil Young. Besides, the guitar solo on "At Least That's What You Said" on KT is phenomenal. I nominate it for Official Guitar Solo of This Thread.

For someone who fancies himself a timmy, you are certainly quick to throw out 800 years of sushi rules.

The only standard I see in your post is that "sushi grade" fish must be frozen. That is objective, and you wouldn't need be an Itamae to tell if a piece of flesh met the standard. It is, of course, also pure bullshit. WFUM New Hampshire doesn't make sushi rules- Itamae are trained in an 8 years apprenticeship- there are Itamae organizations that decide what fish is "sushi grade." For 2 years all an Itamae apprentice can do is wash pans and make the rice. Do you think they know something you and I don't by the end of the 8 years?

And guess what? You don't make SUSHI! You may take some raw fish and wrap it on instant rice but that's not fucking sushi unless you have trained for 8 years. I don't care if its the tastiest fish in San F. If you go to Tokyo the only job you could get would be at the conveyor belt "fish snack" places. You can't make sushi Atticus, sorry.

What does it mean to dreamhallucinate that you have WAY too many toes? Does it matter that you are being chased while you have all these toes, and that you got a pedicure to make the toes less frighening, and that you have six toes on your right foot but like 12 on your left?

I never claimed that I have made sushi or that I ever tried to make sushi. But in the spirit of the holiday I accept your apology. I will note that, despite your infinite ability to blather on about sushi apprenticeships, I suspect that, in a blind taste test, you would not be able to tell the difference between sushi made by the finest sushi chef in Tokyo and the fish snacks thrown together by Atticus' cousin Jake from Omaha who recently purchased Sushi for Dummies.

"Match Point" - 8.5/10
The Woodman's triumphant return, except there isn't a reason to think he actually directed it. The Welshman is great, contrary to some reviews. Scarlett is - as usual - hot, hot, hot, until she tries to imitate the late Shelly Winters from "A Place in the Sun" - which isn't improper I guess, since its the basis for her role - and becomes overly-irritating. My favorite flick in some time.

"Brokeback Mountain" - 8/10
Extremely well-crafted film. Ang Lee redeems himself from the Hulk. Superb acting all around. Tragic on many levels, other than the obvious* However, it felt too long at times and there was some gratituous emotional weight tossed in at the end.

Now someone please tell me whether we should see "Good Night, G.L." or "Capote" next.

Here's an example of the ignorant being correct for once, but for the wrong reason. In a "blind" taste test indeed the distinction might well be subtle. One major focus of the last 3 years of the Itamae program is concentration on the visual aesthetics brought to the creation. If I could open my eyes I could tell the differecne quite easily, but blindfolded it might be a challenge.

But let us put aside this debate, however interesting, and focus on one disturbing fact shown by this new "judged" page- there are no potential newbers left in cyberland. We aren't keeping newbers away from here with hate diatribes, or substandard quality- if that were true then Judged would be full of new socks we'd never seen. instead, someone has gone there and stolen several of the more well-regarded socks and started lowering the goodwill associated therewith-
