Son, we post on a board that has regional and topical threads, and those threads have to be guarded by mods willing to stop fectas. Whose gonna do it? You? You, Tyrone? I have more responsibility here than you could possibly fathom. You weep for capitalization, and you curse the lack of software that does what you want. You have that luxury. You have the luxury of not knowing what I know. That the lack of us responding to your software whining, while tragic, probably allowed us time to stop fecta attempts. And that my existence on the Detroit Board, while grotesque and incomprehensible to you, stops fectas. I know deep down in places you dont talk about at parties, you don’t want me on that thread, you need me on that thread. We use words like penske, trying, fectas. We use these words as the backbone of a life spent defending something. You use them as a punchline. I have neither the time nor the inclination to explain myself to a man who rises and sleeps under the blanket of the very protection I provide, then questions the manner in which I provide it. I prefer you said thank you, and went on your way, Otherwise, I suggest you pick up a regional board modship, and stand to post. Either way, I don’t give a damn what you think.

She's been unwilling to give me Boston, even though I know I could reinvigorate that. I'd be happy to co-moderate the HC board with you, and I know we could make it a place RT would enjoy stopping by, at least for entertainment value.

I was always more a Norman Mailer than a Gore Vidal guy. Norman just had a way of adding some offbeat color to his liberalism that Vidal could only ape. The White Negro remains an all time classic of social commentary that combines snide removal with hip immersion.

can someone walk me though how that would work? it seems to me like a mod for the HC board would need to be capable of identifying a sock with a medical condition, such as, oh, psychosis, and to recommend said sock be banned from the thread. meaning, if you are qualified to moderate the HC board, one of your first acts would be to ban yourself for mental issues. Then we don't need the board.

I'm on my meds, so its okay. As for psych cred, I used to sleep with a therapist and I still have her copy of the dsm VI under my pillow, so I'm good to go with diagnoses.
