It was Westmoreland street, but it's the extension of O'Connell on the other side of the river, so I can see why you were confused.

Where might one see a golfer wearing this attire?

No, not the local 9-hole loop, but St. Andrews. Ugly Americans indeed.

I'll be there for the Sox too. I'll be wearing a PMC Sox hat and a red Pedroia t-shirt. Don't be shy about saying "Hi".

I'm in number 8. Crap game, good night out. Boys with the flares got politely asked to leave.

Not me, but a guy I've known for years and, though he was absolutely shattered from drinking all day he really hadn't done anything wrong.

I thought Philly would be used to flares in the stands.

I have a ticket in the Celtic section, how many flares should I bring?

That's far from the loudest golf clothing Daly wears. He is outfitted by Loudmouth Golf. Here's one that will burn your retinas

Yes. I find myself wishing for the return of the creepy Volt brothers, Kevin and Jen. They were just all so good and professional. I totally wanted to eat Kevin's food last season, all season, even though I couldn't smell it or look at it other than how it was presented on TV. This season -- so totally meh. I do not need to know whether someone had crabs either.

Speaking of Top Chef, my boyfriend and I and some friends had a fancy dinner the other day and we were served an amuse-bouche with lentil foam. I thought immediately of Marcel. Needless to say, lentil does not work as a foam. But the meal itself was top-notch. One of the best meals I have had since moving to NYC. The restaurant is "Dovetail" and the decor is late 80's Detroit-area Marriot conference room. But the food rocks.

I'm not loving this season as of yet. It typically takes me several weeks before there is a manageable enough group to learn all their names and such, though.

In former-contestant news, we go pretty regularly to CJ's gastropub in Santa Monica (season 3) and just found out yesterday that Jamie will be taking over the kitchen at a lounge we go to down the street in October (season 5). The winning Volt brother is leaving his current place in Pasadena and I think will be opening somewhere in downtown LA this fall. We have not eaten at his current place.

Those are the guys who outfitted the Norweigan curling team's uniform to great fashion success, if ultimate curling defeat to Canada.

Granted, some if it is strawberry lime flacored cider.

And with that, I'm off for a pre-dinner pint.

There's a problem with cider on ice?

Strawberry-line is a separate issue.
