I don't think it's hard to imagine that being across a phone line or internet video depersonalized and disinhibits a bit. It also may lead to a better record to ground complaints too.

Lot harder to sue for off color comment in the break room alone than the one via email/chat/text.

As if. He does appear to be a licensed California lawyer with no record of discipline, but not a Nevada attorney. He should have spell-checked his brief better, though. He managed to misspell both his purported client's name and Governor Newsom's name in one sentence -

It’s the only explanation. I mean, seriously, the headquarters for the State of New California and the New Nevada State is in “Pahrump”? I don’t believe such a place actually exists, even in Old Nevada.
