** Long ones!***
*** I don't think I am up for the task. However I am currently reading Brief Interviews With Hideous Men.

OK, I ran a half dozen book reviews that I'd posted through. Four HP Lovecrafts, a Dan Brown, and a DFW. I've never read HP Lovecraft. But did that computer just insult me?

Damn. I've got to keep you away from my teenage daughters.

But then, I already knew that.

Stern must be getting weak if he's using old and unoriginal material -- people have been saying that about the poor girl for years.

You brief must really suck. Your non-work writing definitely would get a better result.

Stephen King on the comparison of JK Rowling and Stephenie Meyer: "Rowling is a terrific writer and Stephenie Meyer can’t write worth a darn. She’s not very good."

According to this, I write like James Joyce. This is based on a multi-paragraph email I sent to a client. I don't think that is necessarily a good sign.

Either I have a very inconsistent writing style or they just give you writers at random. I put in my last 6 book reviews and got Dan Brown twice, George Orwell, David Foster Wallace, and Stephen King twice.

There's an algorithm behind it -- there's an interview with the guy who created the algorithm on The Awl today. So it's not random, but apparently imperfect -- either that or you are Sibyl.

Sibyl it is! It could also be affected by the very different genres of the books I was reviewing as my reading choices are quite Sibyl-ish: a romance, a romantic thriller, a couple mysteries, a vampire mystery (the Sookie Stackhouse series), and an alternate history military/fantasy book with dragons.

I put in three examples of my legal writing and got David Foster Wallace for all of them. Apparently I am DFW at work and HP Lovecraft at home.

I like Olympic Garden.
Spearment Rhino, here and there, are always good
I have not been to Rick's or Sapphire yet.

Based on my first few posts on this thread, I allegedly write like William Gibson. I was certain it was going to say Don Rickles.

In this post, however, you write like HP Lovecraft. I feel like I've been a good influence.
