Possibly rhetorical question:

Why should we care about the location, let alone more specific details, of Chelsea Clinton's wedding? Sure, I hope she has a better marriage than her parents, but why is this an event deserving of so much speculation?

If you're going to read the fashion section, they are going to cover the beautiful ny people.

do you think the "mystery" that has been baked into it by the secrecy has caused the press to treat as an event?

I mean it's a 30 year old woman getting married- she was once sort of in the news but hasn't been for awhile. I can't imagine papparazzi shots will be worth anything. Leave her alone.

Well, I think a lot of people are worried that it will interfere with the Dutchess County fair. But those of us who are real upstate locals realize the fair won't happen until later in August, and the hoopla should be over by then and Rhinebeck back to normal.

I had the pleasure of asking Tracy Ullman to leave my not-at-all-fancy-but-still-private-property beach club this weekend!! She looked so familiar, but I didn't connect the face with the name until she spoke.

I am such a badass.

Aren't the fanciest ones "not fancy"? It is the beach, after all.

Eudora Welty.

Maybe it's a Mississippi thing.

She practically invented the Simpsons!! Surely there's an exception for that.

Speaking of badasses, I was waiting for the elevator at the Jet Blue terminal at JFK when I looked over and saw Luis Guzman. Him and his two friends (a chubby middle-aged couple) got on the elevator with me down to the baggage carousel. I could not remember his name to save my life, nor could I think of anything non-totally gay to say to him about how cool I think he is, so the moment was lost forever.

Indeed, unless she called for Smithers to release the hounds, in an ironic way, the ejection is totally unacceptable.

Rhinebeck is nice. Where is she having it? There are few nice venues. for shizzle.

This may be more appropriate for the PB, but....I wonder if Web Hubbell will be attending.......:o:(

I give her credit for not having run for Congress. That takes restraint, especially after we ran out of non-raping Kennedys.

I only go to Rhinebeck when it is infested with fiber folk for the NY Sheep & Wool Festival. The deep fried artichokes are amazing as are the lamb burgers.

In fairness they are not all rapers, some are just run of the mill druggies and/or alkies.
