I went right back to sleep. She didn't.
Maybe you should consider moving to Canada.

I am not sure that this is what ABBA is doing here, but I have heard "question" used as a synonym for "ask" a number of times recently. Is this some new linguistic trend I don't know about? Is it even correct? "I questioned him what time it was."

I've clearly been working too much. Before you explained this, I thought you were referring to an act of the Congress.

Doesn't "questioned" imply some authority-derived right to expect an answer? One might question a witness, then, at a break, ask the court reporter if she'd like to go on a date.

FUPAs should be outlawed, so go ahead and contact your Congressman/Congresswoman.

Well, yes, there is the "interrogation" meaning, like you describe. There is also the meaning that implies skepticism: "I question whether she was really able to have sex while asleep." But, it just seems incorrect, or at least archaic, to use "question" as a synonym for "ask." But, I'll say no more about this because I REALLY do not want to get on ABBA'a bad side!!!!!!!!!!!!

They would have to pry the FUPA out of Heston's cold dead hands.
