Also, who is Cory Doctorow? That's who the "I Write Like" program says my FB posts emulate. For a legal brief I wrote {{shudder}}, it says Stephen King.

Author of "Little Brother," a book I heartily recommend. It is available for free.

So yesterday is my husband's birthday, and a friend of ours, who is a physical therapist (a very good one) comes up to him at the beach club (pre-TU-ejection) and says she's going to give him a birthday back rub, or some such thing.

She proceeds to give him a rubdown, and making comments like "Oooh, [name], you're so strong and fit...".

When she finally gets her hands off him, he looked at me and asked, "What was that? That made me sort of uncomfortable."

We laughed about it, but WTF? Should I say something to her? It was just so strange. Before she came over to rub down my husband, I saw her doing another "roving massage" for this other guy, and thought to myself that it was strange, but the guy wasn't my husband, so it wasn't really my business.

So, before you ask, No, she's not hot. She's not a fat or anything, but not hot. And no, I'm not worried about my husband being interested in her.

That's all kind of weirdness. My aunt is a physical therapist and she will often do PT kind of things at family gatherings -- but more in the way of showing people the pressure points for various aches and ailments or stretching out neck or shoulder muscles. Never massages and definitely not comments about peoples' physiques.

So maybe the guys you hang around with don't have physiques like dtb's hubby? That midwestern potato salad shows its work you know.

The only response is to one-up her and give her SO a handy.

Your aunt is clearly struggling to repress the fact that she is a giant whore.

So your aunt isn't a prositute? Huh.

This was completely uncalled for. Her aunt is anti-situte and you know it.

Children's chapter book? I don't know who I feel worse for.

Yes. Walking with wood is very uncomfortable.

My bet is that she was flirting.

Note these are *family* gatherings.

For another board, but whatever. I've heard nothing but excellent things about Kracken, and I'm looking forward to Zero History.

So you think people know each other enough that the physique comments are unnecessary?

Isn't it still nice to hear? As long as she's starting with the massage?
