In Britain, "takeaway" means "takeout," so if you were in Britain, you would definitely be using the term incorrectly, unless Adder's post gave you some fish and chips or a doner kebab or curry or some such. FYI.

Since you seem to be relying on gut feel, I would suggest that there is at least one worse method than other people's actual experiences.

Dalton is dead now, no?

If you were anything like Dalton, you would have been a man and dealt with it. Because pain don't hurt real men.

TM

It seems to be directed entirely at E/O. I think Adder is trying to bag her.

I'm hoping he'll try a different approach on the paralegal.

Yeah, I totally know! I think it's because you're a life-affirming, positive-thinking, glass-is-half-full kind of Adder guy, while I'm just a bitter, negative-thinking, Adder-is-a-lonely-alcoholic kind of Adder guy. When his obit comes out we can see who's right, assuming one of us notices it.

Exactly. Which is why Adder is out fucking paralegals and Sidd is just . . . um . . . well, doing whatever he does.

Yes, but only because he didn't use acupuncture to cure his pancreatic cancer.

Dude -- I'm in SF. We pay good money to get pain here.

But bone pain is different.

My post to which you are responding was about you and your closed-mindedness. I never said Mayo proved it. I pulled quotes that discussed that some doctors are using it, how, and why, even though they cannot test for its effectiveness or understand all of the factors involved in why it works.

Whether or not its efficacy can be tested, why are you so closed-minded about something about which you admit to knowing absolutely nothing?

I do not understand the Han-Nambu color theory of quarks, but I am certainly open to the idea that they exist.

I'll have my assistant do periodic online checks and e-mail us both when he kicks it. It will be fun to find out who's right!

I hear you pay for bone pain as well, so I'm not sure why it's any different. Whatever, dude, I'm not judging you.

Adder, remember: E/O is not your "friend." This will boost your chances, such as they are.
