The celebrities make the show.

Did you listen this morning? Stamos entertained me to no end. He's a handsome, rich, and famous actor/musician, yet got up at 4:30 am to complain that his friend wasn't paying enough attention to him.

I arrived today back in a Christian country in a city of 1.4 million in time for the Thurs. to Sat. weekend bender. I can say now with certainty that I planned doing the Sun. through Wed. nights in Muslim Azerbaijian perfectly.

traveling. i could listen on my laptop and don't know why I forget all the time.

yes the celeb interviews make the show, that and the interaction with Robin- the bimbo stuff just gets sadder and sadder as he gets older.

but, Artie would interrupt the interviews and step all over them with his "jokes." next few times they do best of compare an artie era with a jackie era. Jackie barely spoke- Artie almost turned it into the Artie show.

he had this thing where Howard would be talking to someone, and Artie throws out a lame 1-liner. Now, Howard is good, if the line hit he would have played it, but it would be dumb and potentially throwing off the interview, so he'd ignore it. A minute later artie would be trying to shoe horn the thing in, like the next pause he would blurt it out. messed with the robin/howard interaction.

this sounds like a reference none of us get. you have to remember that you're on that news feed that only sends reports to the top 50 triathletes IN THE WORLD. You have to explain the inside gossip you get that way.

I agree, Artie didn't add anything when there were celebs in. But when there are no celebs there, I liked hearing about Artie's new money extravagance.

Yeah, Lance who? Penske may be on a first-name basis with this Lance chap, but it leaves the rest of us scratching our heads.

True story: I raced against Landis in his last race as TdF champ.

Seems to be -- Look, I got caught, but everyone was doing it and I was competing against and with cheaters. So don't judge me so harshly.

What an ass. Like everyone I have suspicions about Lance, but Landis won one stage in the Tour, held the yellow for four days or so, and got busted. Lance has won 18 stages and had the yellow for 80+ days, and hasn't. Landis should be embarrassed for using such pathetic masking agents if nothing else.

this is empowering!

in my college Frank Shorter owned a running shoe store. I have no idea why. anyhoo, every year there was the East Lansing State Bank/Frank Shorter 10K. Frank would fly in and run it.

I only saw him breifly when I snuck up towards the front, out of my proper time area, and before the race started. By the time I'd finished I'm pretty sure he was on a plane:rolleyes:

over the years I've said "I ran in the Frank Shorter 10 K." But until now I never thought of claiming "I raced against Frank Shorter back in college."

thanks for the example.
