Huh. I'm glad you knew what he meant, because at first I thought his post implied a decision he made.

Jesus, I feel slow today.

The first step in dealing with a problem is recognizing one exists.

Indeed.

BTW, it's not the suit that's making you look fat.

You're all mixed up there. Tax has the tits and Hank's the drunk who barks "cocksucker" and "fucking asshole" between mumbles at the podium.

I'm just catching my stride finally. I think I gave myself mercury poisoning over the weekend (nothing but sushi weekend). I had the worst stomach pains for the past three days.

I will add that I heard on the radio this morning that she is notoriously obnoxious in the stands. Not sitting down, not shutting up, jumping up and down, etc.
Lots of times I've had better luck in the cheap seats than close to the action. More drunkards but fewer shut-the-fuck-up assholes.

They had an article on "superfans" a few years back -- all of whom sat within 10 rows of the opposing bench at every game, screamed their heads off, and made it impossible for anyone around them to enjoy the game. IMHO those people should be tasered. Or forced to listen to their own rants on endless loop, using headphones.

Unless there was hair loss, I don't think it was mercury poisoning.

(And no, I don't really want to know.)

You could also toss Hunter S. Thompson out there as an open nomination, and watch Sebby and Less murder each other in order to get it.

How long had the chefs trained? What rice vinegar did they use? What you most likely had were inexpertly cut pieces of flash frozen and then re-thawed fish hastily slapped onto some gummy rice rolls with powdered "wasabi" slathered liberally under the the fish slabs in an attempt to cover any imperfections. I am quite certain that what you did NOT have was sushi.

In light of recent life events, I have no business fighting Less for that gig.

Although I still say he's a candyass for not leaving a Seven Layer Burrito Cleveland Steamer on the conference table on his last day before Freedom.

I have hated people so much that I have had disturbing murderous fantasies about them, but nobody has ever done anything that has ever caused me to want to defecate on them or their possessions.

I was going to say that you can be the early, semi-coherent Thompson still capable of holding a job. I will be the post-Curse of Lono, crazed Thompson holed up in my mountain cabin eating shrooms, running for mayor, shooting critters, and mumbling at the podium.

Let me add that I just had a most-awkward conversation about whether I should attend the PLRB conference in April or the DRI conference in May. I am not giving notice until the end of the month and had to fudge that one.

"will be"?

Pal, the only thing missing right now is an election platform and a gun.
