I was totally freaked out when I saw him talk about, and look at, his daugther shortly after she was returned. He gave me a very ooky feeling.
Where is MR? I would like to see this picture with the man cut out and John Blasedow put it. Freakish shaved naked bod and bad dye job and all. I would make this my avatar.

bitch pleaes. You are just saying that to be different. that is an excellent film and they have a couple of not so excellent films. Hudsucker Proxy comes to mind. Which, while good and underapprecaited, is not a great film

What is your favorite?
My little friend thinks Fargo, Millers Crossing are the two best, besides lebowski. and of course he and his friends go bolwing a lot and drink caucasians. thats my ritual too. Maybe I will go as Jeff for halloween? I dig the way you do business man.
Fargo is the only one I don't own on DVD. Is that enough?

In order:

Big Lebowski
Raising Arizona
Barton Fink
Hudsucker Proxy
Millers Crossing
Oh Brother
Man who Wasn't There
Blood Simple
Fargo

The problem, dearest Penske, is that you have a charm and wit* that pushes to the surface, even when you are attempting to pull off a mundane, boring lamest sock ever. Some would consider this a positive characteristic however, so buck up little camper!

Carry on.

For me it is the Big El, Fargo, Raising Arizona, Barton Fink, Hudsucker (though Fargo, RA and BF are in pretty much a three way tie for second) and I dont remember blood simple and millers crossing well enough to rank . i didnt like o brother and I missed the man who wasnt there. The Big L is a solid head above the others. It is just the best comedy ever written period, and comedy is my favorite genre. and there are few good comedies. I al watching it again tonight when I get home. Its gonna thunde, so it wiill be great alongside a mellow fire, some pumpkin ale and delivered chinois.

am i forgettingt any?

You've been beating the Sox for most of the last century, you nit. WTF comfort is that? It's like a high school jock bragging he beat the second graders at dodgeball.
It's like a cozy security blanket, going to bed every night knowing that Red Sox fans from 5 to 95 are tearing their hair out.

The news was that we were one stupid managerial decision away from beating your asses for the first time.
But you didn't.

You lost. Relax. Everyone knows the Yankees are still a good team. Just not as good as the Marlins.
Nope. The Yanks have too many automatic outs

Chalk me up as another who doesn't think Fargo is all that great.

It's funnier for its anthropological qualities if you've spent time in that particular part of the world, but that doesn't make it a great movie.

Apparently Colon's big fat ass doesn't want to play in NYC, and Boston can't afford him. Although I hear that he would like to play there (with Manny). Chi-Sox offerred $36 million over three years and he turned it down.

Word. I suppose I'd rather they have lost to the Cubs (if they had to lose at all -- which, evidently, they did...), but I'm surprisingly not all that upset about their loss. I usually can't even read the coverage of the game a day after a Yankees loss (even in the regular season); I just get too upset.

But oddly, I'm not all that plagued about it -- and I think you've hit upon the reason why -- as long as NY beats Boston, it's all good.

We're over it. Seeing that jailbait pitcher drill your guys into the ground was a balm on our wounds. And we're already busy swearing at our ne'er-do-wells at the Fleet Center. I figure the Sox have got til their annual midseason implosion next year before they truly piss us off again.

But you didn't.

Neither did you. But everyone expected you to.

Doesn't this then confirm that there's a rivalry? I thought that was the Yankees' thing: showing indifference in the face of Boston's "rivalry" statements, which is much more insulting than admitting to and enjoying the rivalry. Saying "we're not really rivals - we ALWAYS win - you're just another faceless team that hates us" is much more insulting.
