My bad.

ETA: However, weren't BMW's 4 cylinder engines used to power the 3-Series Ms through the mid-90s? I imagine they used some of that tech to create the Mini engine, and if they did, it'd be a damned fine piece of machinery.

The e39 was the best BMW ever. New ones are more problematics as the number of gadgets increases. The 1.8 used in the 318 was bulletproof, though.

Hank, it shouldn't change any settings. Maybe you should do a back up before you try resetting if you're worried about losing data.

while I would like to thank everyone, please note for future reference I need step by step instructions, not general advice.

at the end, I merely ordered someone to fix it for me.

teach a man to fish and he gets sweaty. give a man a fishermen and he can nap.

This is your best work. Please feel free to retire on a high note.

Does this explain why I never got so much as a "thank you" for the advice about neighborhoods? I gotta hold your hand while you call around, or do I gotta dial the phone, too?

Um... Duh. I retired several years ago.

That's why it was appropriate for me to offer the PT's husband a Birthday Blowjob. Do try to keep up, Hank.

here my persona is NICE! but there I carry an edgy aura that wouldn't sit well with thank yous.

Given the context, were I you (or your husband), I'd be concerned she was trolling for swinging partners for the both of them.

i don't ignore ggg, but i do ignore replies to his "jokes". i do that to support plf's efforts to improve quality and increase newbers.

i'm sure ncs's lurker friends will be registering any day now and we cannot drag the humor quotient down.

Thanks, everyone. The backseat issue is a non-issue for me. I almost never have more than one passenger, and never have Atticus' children, in my car. I would get a two-seater if it weren't for insurance costs, and a need for a place to put my trash.

I am going to test-drive the base and the turbo S this weekend. If I am still not sold on reliability, I may lease for three years and then decide whether to pay the residual or throw it back.

I'm leasing. Residual is crazy high (even compared to BMW's). We were told 63% on S and 66% on base model. I also have no plans to use my backseat. I liked both the base model and the S, but Mr. Man offered to pay the added cost for the S because he'd find that more fun to drive when he borrows my car to try to keep his mileage on his leased car down. Done and done.

Can you arbitrage those miles and pick up 10c per?
