Yes, it's time to come home to the FB where you only need think about music, sex, reality tv, sex, proper pubic grooming, sex, movies, sex, and books.

Oh, and fashion.

Brief announcement:

At some point this afternoon around page 66, we hit a 1000 posts.

Pages are dependant on how many posts per page people are viewing.

I, for example, only have 28 pages in this thread.

Well, I don't think that I dated former gov't, so any confusion certainly can't be blamed on her. (Or Judy Blume, for that matter.)

Believe it or not, although I was a major geek as a kid, I never had a chemistry set. I wanted one, but as older brother Not Nick had already caused explosions in the neighborhood with the set he borrowed from Jimmy O'Leary, the request was denied by the parents.

Using the default view, it's around 66.

Thanks, Ty for keeping up with it. I was in the midst of a very, very long lunch and not thinking about y'all.

Has anyone heard of or dealt with such a thing?
Call it a water feature, and increase the future value of the house. Easy.

I've heard of it. In theory, they can divert the spring so that it doesn't come up under the house. But in theory, communism works. Like communism, moving the spring is potentially very expensive. I believe it involves installing pipes under the foundation to capture the flow, and then installing some sort of water barrier over the top, and below the foundation, to keep any residual water from bubbling up. They're likely to recommend some waterproofing in the basement as well. Needless to say, don't install wall to wall carpet down there.

As for value, it depends on whether em discloses (which of course em must, or risk a fraud claim) and how good the remediation is. If it all works out, the decline in value should be fairly small. And maybe em can market "Em Springs Water" and make a buck or two.

Damn coal mines.
Communism is just a red herring.

I can see how from your perspective that statement seems outrageously coarse.

First, keep in mind that I often post fast, and sometimes the words just rip from the fingers with abandon. I used to think about editing myself, but that ain't me. Clearly, I can't anticipate all the possible maladies of those who may read what I write. If I offended you, please understand, it was not personal, and I certainly wish you only the very speediest of recovery. I cna't really fathom what its like to have to deal with your situation. I've no doubt you've a depth of character far beyond that of a cat as lucky as I in respect to health. Fuck... that was a wordy mea culpa...

That said, I probably won't eat those words someday. I offer no quarter to those of perfect health who become unsightly. I am rEdiculously undisciplined and will probably suffer early liver disease for it, but I think the base line for everyone should be to keep themselves in respectable shape. You don't have to be Naomi Campbell or Brad Pitt, but draw the goddamn line. I've been to Europe. I don't see lardarse mommies abound or huge beer guts everywhere. We eat too goddamn much and sit on our asses too much.

Me, I'm that obsessed with staying respectable looking that yes, if need be, I will have the fat sucked out of me.

S(I have fat family members... and I've had a phobia of looking like them since I was a little kid)D
Seb,

I think that keeping in shape is great. I do what I can to keep myself in the best shape I can. But I venture to guess that once you and Mrs. Seb start having sprogs, you'll find the appearance/risking your life for lipo calculus may change a bit.

I am also a bit worried about a world where Liv Tyler is deemed a plus-sized model and Courthey Thorne-Smith is hounded off of Ally McBeal for refusing to turn into a popsicle stick.
