I haven't heard Hawk Harrelson much of late, but that doesn't strike me as anything new.

Would his so-called "call" have been the same if the opposing team had pitched it?

If that was Hawk, it was downright low key for him.

I've never seen a perfect game. It's got to be exciting for the home team fans and the local announcers are definitely in that group.

in court do you relate stuff neutrally to the jury, or does the fact that only one side is paying you influence your delivery?

Exactly. Although he has gotten worse in the past 5 years. Hawk the Caricature is taking over Hawk the Real Person. But the guy really does love the White Sox.

He definitely would have been excited and would have congratulated the pitcher, but he wouldn't have gone nearly as crazy.

Luckily, his color guy is Steve Stone, who is outstanding.

we cannot hit for shit right now. our pitchers are getting screwed. the yankees swept us against great pitching (both ways) then, last night, a guy got a no decision on a 1 hitter because our bullpen* cannot stop shit.

Leyland has got to be getting close to saying "i'm leaving the starter in until the 9th, no matter how many pitches he throws as long as he is in the game."

*our closer is okay, but the setup is horrible.

Does Leyland still sneak smokes in the dugout?

The little flower girls and the daughter of the bride or groom were adorable

Hank Chinaski 07-24-2009 02:12 PM

she could be "the one?"

on Facebook, there is a FBettie that is my friend, she has 60 friends, and 30 are "mutual." I do not believe coltrane is her friend, though I finally gave in to his whining.

I digress: Facebook keeps insisting that one of her unknown (to me) friends would be a good friend for me. I had a suggestion in the past for a new friend based upon only 1 mutual friend, BUT he went to my law school. no secondary reason is given with this one.

And the strange part is that it keeps being this one potential friend, the other 29 of her friends that are unknown to me are never suggested.

Weird?

Not really. Facebook's internal analytics probably have noticed that you both frequently click on the viagra and penis enlargement ads, and tried to match you up.

I kind of dig the bride's manicure. I am currently struggling with what to do with my nails at the wedding.

Just don't go with the freaky eyelash things the bridesmaids had. They scared me. One of them looked like an albino spider.

It's the home team announcers--it wasn't Jack Buck on national TV. Homers are nothing new on local broadcasts, and Hawk wasn't any worse than the worst of 'em.

Homer, yes. Embarassing? I still don't see why. He's Chicago's announcer. He doesn't have to be calmly analytical.

That guy is never calmly analytical, especially not in games against Central Division rivals. That call is mild compared to some of his I've heard. At least this was in favor of his team. He can get quite heated against the opposing team.

did i mention in high school, the girl's would put my phone number on the bathroom wall, with my nick name, "leviathan."

but, viagra essentially corrects a lack of blood flow, and enlargement would increase the necessary amount of blood, so they are working against each other.
