The legal affairs department of the studio financing Team America thought that this was treading a little too close to the defamation line, and made the filmmakers change it. I think the "Whites and the Spades" line is funnier, just because it's so random, but for the record, I tried to convince my bosses that the original line didn't need changing.
Would this count as an instance of publication in a defamation lawsuit?

Rocky

LOS ANGELES - Sylvester Stallone is signing on to reprise his role as boxer Rocky Balboa in the sixth installment of the long-running film series, which he wrote and will direct.

In the new installment, Rocky, lonely and retired in Philadelphia, comes out of retirement, intending to fight a few low-profile local fights. He’s approached to fight a match with reigning heavyweight champ Mason “The Line” Dixon, and soon his comeback ignites a media firestorm. (And then Rocky gets his ass kicked - that'll be fun to watch.)

“’Rocky Balboa’ is about everybody who feels they want to participate in the race of life, rather than be a bystander,” Stallone said in a statement. “You’re never too old to climb a mountain, if that’s your desire.”

I don't care -- I'm soon to be Not an employee of this studio anymore.

Oh, and the department is having trouble filling the vacancy. Anyone with entertainment production legal experience? Let me know.

Because it's a killer whale? I mean, it's like fighting irish. If it were just irish, it might be okay, but the killer part really attributes the worst stereotype to whales.

What's more, I take it to be they're calling all of Canada (French Canada possibly excepted) by this name.

Does that person have to move to LA?

Walpole (Mass. [!]) is also the Rebels. Remarkably, they used a confederate battle flag on their helmets or elsewhere on their jerseys. It may be, however, that that has been removed in the last few years.

It really will boil down to animals or the fat or short that you can use. Like if pygmies were of several races they could be used.
Fattist fuck.

For some reason, only a small minority of the pictures being posted are showing up on my screen and I can't seem to convince my computer to display images, no matter how many times I tell it to.

Fucking computers.

She's trying to demonstrate her range in case anyone is thinking of shooting another live-action 101 Dalmations. She wants to be the person to bring a more sympathetic Cruella to life. Who says that Cruella couldn't be just a girl from the block, who is misunderstood by everyone except for the hunky guy who thinks she's a wealthy aristocrat, when in fact she's just a maid with a dream. A dream of wearing a coat made of the fur of a bunch of little puppies. Who can blame her? She has lived a hard life and deserves to wear the softest puppy-fur coat ever created!

It is all starting to make a little more sense now: Tom manages to bang her at some point, thinking that he is sterile or that she is a man and can't get pregnant or something like that. She mantraps him and won't have an abortion, so they have to pretent they're dating. He jumps on couch on Oprah after he realized this will help him deny that he is gay.

I can't wait for the theme song.

In better movie-music news, I saw Everything Is Illuminated over the weekend, and I plan to purchase the soundtrack. It features several songs by the gypsy punk band Gogol Bordello. Ukranian-born NY hipster Eugene Hutz is the lead singer of the band, and nails the character Alex in the movie. I read in Paper Magazine that the director had contacted him about using his music for the film, and during their discussions of the film, Hutz, who had no previous acting experience, said to the director, "That character is me. I am Alex." The director agreed, leading to the most unforgettable movie character since Napoleon Dynamite.
