Wrong. The guy who rags on you all.night. about how much money you wasted paying $X for a new car, when his buddy could have gotten you [car that's $X+25k new, but that you wouldn't want to drive] for $X-10k, is more douchey still.

edit--my curiosity got the best of me and I discovered something car-price related that's even douchier.

It's douchey to talk about what your car cost or how much depreciation you avoided with Certified Pre Owned, which you do avoid.

But I still think it is douche-y-ier still to be house poor with a jumbo mortgage and clunker -tied together with a shoe string, or cheap cars. Everyone wants a decent house but at a certain income level it doesn't have to be "either" "or"

it should be both. nice house. nice cars. equilibrium and commensurate.

The Honda Odyssey. I have traveled from Philly to the beach many times in a fully loaded one of these and found it one of the most comfortable, smooth riding and roomy vehicles in which I've had the pleasure to ride.

You can mix the most complex of drinks in the back with no fear of a pothole putting the cocktail all over your trousers. If it had electric outlets and a Foreman grill, I could probably whip up a decent steak in the thing.

I fully admit it. I sneer down my nose at the concept of acquiring new. It's fucking madness unless you're leasing.*

That I'm live and let live doesn't rob me of the right to insult.

*I insulted my father about it just yesterday. His reaction was similar to what I imagine yours to be: Politely, "Fuck off."

Anyway, I assume the way Seb would transport 4 kids is to tell the other parents how much he's been drinking. And then let them figure out how to get the 4 kids to chuck e cheese or wherever.

I have been to a Chuck E. Cheese recently. My sole takeaway would be, Those places need bars. Four of them, one for each wall.

Dissent. He claims the texting problems aren't caused by drunkenness. If the troubles stem from having fingers too fat to type - the kind that resemble Swedish mini-sausages connected by undersized joints - the lasses will recoil in horror when he asks for an assist.

While my wife would go for the 2xMini concept in a heartbeat, we will need a car that can transport our many kids (think almost as many as the Atticus brood) and friends/etc. in a carpooling arrangement. Oh, and we don't want a minivan or a SUV. Or a bus. And my kids can't ride Vespas yet.

Models with the DVD player have an outlet in the third row for video game consoles, etc. Does the Foreman grill need more than 115v?

We love our Odyssey. And as of this week, it's paid for. Wahoo!
