The record holds up. It shouldn't. And I shouldn't be pulling it out of the dusty cd rack to stick in the iTunes, but... Fuck you! Now their entire catalog will jammed in my head for a week.

I also think evidence of a real movement is fading too. The Chan troll culture isn't going to stay with him as he actually has to do more than bloviate.

Keep singing that lullaby to yourself. It's doing more than bloviating that'll sink him. So long as he merely telecasts and spins, he's fine and dandy.

His big problem is this ACA replacement. That's actual policy. The battle there is going to be pitched -- on how, exactly, for both parties to punt the ugly cuts to a future date where each can blame the other entirely.

She got great ratings and it was a huge success. Thanks to that, she'll top O'Reilly two weeks in a row.

This was missed by almost all the critics. She actually played the story perfectly.

The media is still missing the story, amazingly. Even if he lived thru the business as most do (and lord knows, he was probably as aggressive as fuck putting personal expenses above the line), that's not $5bil worth income. Not at all.

I agree with all of this. I think the ACA replacement might actually stick. I don't think Russia, or conflicts of interest or Muslim ban or not denouncing antisemitism or pussygrabbing or cutting funding for the EPA or Betsy Devos (what have I missed) will stick. But ACA replacement, because it might have consequences in the short-term for voters, could be an actual problem for Trump that he can't spin.

I imagine if he's requesting this guy to hack the DNC and release information, that would make him a conspirator in a crime, no?

Maybe it sounded really really bad and wasn't what happened -- but it sounded really really bad.

I don't think it sounds bad. If someone I thought was a looney specifically wanted to see me after being fired from my firm, I sure as hell wouldn't go out and talk to him. If he didn't make an outright threat, there is no reason to go to the police and no reason to think he wants to do anyone harm other than me. But if he completely cracks and shoots people a different day, I would have no problem telling people I dodged a bullet.

Why is that bad? Am I supposed to keep him on because he's crazy? Am I supposed to tell the police I think he might be violent and nuts when the only evidence I have is that he requested to see me after being fired? Am I supposed to feel guilt because his misplaced anger resulted in others dying? Am I not supposed to tell the story because I didn't die but others did? I don't get it.

Yes, agreed. I'm just wouldn't think that he said that.

For the FOURTH time. The. Context. Was. FIRED. Employees. With. Guns.

If there was any thought this guy had a firearm and would use it and someone does duck and cover in an office, the blood of six innocent people is on that person's hands. If someone can't see the difficulty here, there is no hope.

AGAIN for the FOURTH time, after the gun context, it came out that that was NOT the case. This was a random nut looking to talk to a random FIL, the random person being as random and as nutty as the guy you see screaming on a train.

The hardcore Rust/Coal/Bible/Oxycontin Belt Trump voters love their govt benefits. Trump is playing with serious fire here.

If the Dems were serious gamers, they'd let the bill pass as it is. Don't touch it. Let it be all his, and Paul Ryan's, and let it sink both the GOP Congress and Trump.

Then Trump would've also been a conspirator in a crime, for having encouraged Putin to release Hillary's hacked emails.

Telling someone you want them to do something illegal is not criminally conspiring. You have to take some action of your own. For instance, if Stone told Guccifer he'd give him something in exchange for the hack, and he did so, you'd have conspiracy.

Tom Cruise has had years of similar income.

Wait, what happened to, she's a Clinton, she must be guilty of something?

These are conversations with known Russian agents. There is a transcript somewhere.

In other news, further Flynn lies about Russian ties are coming out today. Lock her up, indeed.
