Does it involve an oil drum?

My boyfriend has food poisoning so I'm afraid I have no good blowjob stories to share today. I apologize profusely.

I don't know, dude. The fact that you can point out some guys in prison who swear they are innocent but, in fact, are guilty does not make me feel a whole lot better about the innocent guys who rot in jail. A public defender friend of mine has a special name for prisoners who swear they are innocent. She calls them "prisoners." But to spend your life in prison because of an overzealous or crooked prosecutor (or even a well-intentioned one who just made a mistake)? Even worse, if at least part of the reason you were rotting in jail was because of your race? That would make me a bitter man. Um, a bitterer man.
I'm with you. An honor system would work much better.

No problem. I think I may actually prefer to hear a story that you made up, as opposed to picturing your boyfriend actually being involved.

And you still haven't said shit.
Actually, neither have you...either than ranting and raving on your apparent issue de jour from your soapbox.

And FWIW, I'd point out that you're the one resorting to name-calling, not me.

You've shared nothing in QUITE a while, so you should have lots of historical material. Unless he's had food poisoning for months. In which case, you should return him as defective.

In the interest of mending fences, may I suggest that we all just agree that you're both assholes?

Bullshit on you. My point was that in fact it is not only blacks that have been held in prison when DNA can prove their innocence.
Oh. Well then I apologize. Maybe I was misleading in my initial post when I used hyperbole to make a point. My bad. It seemed obvious that I wasn't implying that every single case overturned was one involving a black man. I thought you got that, which led me to believe that the real point behind your post was the one that wasn't blatantly obvious.

My secondary point was that I hope the UW law school professors who got the law changed are happy with their work. If it helps to separate those points more by putting them each in their own paragraph I could do that too.
Maybe you can explain why they shouldn't be happy with their work? Are they supposed to take responsibility for a man who shouldn't have been sitting in prison in the first place committing a crime later on because it was similar to the one he was initially charged for?

I'm sure they have guilt pangs about that case, but they can hardly be blamed for it. And I definitely don't see why their work as a whole should be called into question (and that's exactly what you were doing). Should they throw up their hands and say, "Well, this doesn't work. Everyone is going to commit a heinous crime at some point in their lives, so it doesn't matter when they do it. Let 'em all rot, guilty or not-yet-guilty."

So, maybe you can tell us if your points consisted of something deeper than (i) it isn't always black people and (ii) I hope those meddlesome professors are happy with their work freeing innocent people.

Because if there isn't, it would seem like you were just upset because some prick raped and murdered your friend's friend. And, while that is certainly understandable, I still don't get what it has to do with turning over false convictions.

I have a sad story actually. I got this toy as a surprise for him which is this thong underwear with a built-in vibrator and a remote control. What you do is, wear the underwear out somewhere (for clarification, I would wear it) and the other person has the remote control so he can give you a buzz now and then. I thought it would be fun to do at a party or bar or something. He is not into it - says that he would be too self-conscious to do something like that in public. I rolled my eyes when he said that to convey that I thought he was being lame.

Is he being lame or am I just too demanding?

I think his point is that's what happens when they free innocent white people. Freeing innocent black people is cool, though.

And if I was Governor of Illinois, even if I was a corrupt, malevolent SOB, and I was told that over 50% of the men on Death Row in my state had been cleared by DNA evidence or proof of coerced confessions, I'd declare a moratorium on capital punishment.

And then I'd hire Dan Webb to keep my lily-white ass out of prison.
Huh? 50% of Death row was freed, or 50% of those people fortunate enough for there to be evidence and who asked for the tests were freed? the people wanting DNA tests probably have a higher percentage of "actually innocent" than the general prison population.

Is the remote fairly small? I think you should wear the fancy thong when y'all go out, wait until he's had a few drinks or whatever, then give him the remote and tell him if he's too embarrassed to use it, he can just stick it in his pocket for the remainder of the evening.

Is it pretty quiet?

ETA it might be most fun at dinner with your parents, or his parents, or something.
