 |   I was thinking this same thing.  And I agree with you.  You can't just put someone away because they're in that class.  Or because you couldn't prove it the last time around and now you're pissed about it.

 |   Yes.  Hell, he might think he has a freebie coming to him after 15 years (or whatever).  I also think that if we was raped in jail, that might add to how screwed up he became.  I also think that putting someone in a climate filled with criminals talking about crime would tend to make one (i) desensitized to it and (ii) pretty good at it.
 
All that said, the guy who was released is, of course, still responsible for what he did.  And a piece of shit.
