And for the first time, NYers have a football season. Two of 'em. Well, we'll get revenge by knocking Brady on his ass this weekend. |
Initial Post-Game Thoughts
before the game has ended...
This fucking embarrassement is going to lead to the biggest purging the Yankees have ever seen. Anyone not named Jeter, Rivera or A-Rod (since no one will take him) will be fair game. If I'm Steinbrenner, [if he's unable to void his contract b/c of the wall incident], I trade Brown to the worst team in baseball - like the Expos or Royals - even if only for a ham sandwich. That fucking prick cost us the entire Series with his dog outings in Games 4 and 7. Mel Stottlemeyr is gone. Brian Cashman is gonna be the new GM of the Washington Expos. I even think the Torre era may be over as he may be encouraged to "walk" If Donnie doesnt get "reassigned" - maybe he becomes manager. Lofton, Clark, Quantrill, Heredia, Loiza - all gone (some unfairly) Vasquez will probably be traded. Giambi too, if he ever plays again. Sheffield will probably retire. This will be the ugliest bloodletting the Yankees have ever seen. |

The crowd in Kenmore is an embarassment. If we win the Series, I hope we do it in 4 or 5 games. Fucking transplant college kids. We didn't dare say the word 'win' until the 9th. It's 1:19 am, the cars on Hyde Park Ave are still honking their horns. Hyde Square (heart of the Dominican neighborhood) was a zoo. The patrons of the Irish pub and the Dominican restaurant were dancing in the street. It was a beautiful thing. The cops and crowd there were great. D-Lowe pitched a gem. Pedro in relief? What a fucking a joke! We were having Grady Little flashbacks. I'm glad he got spanked. I've got to get some sleep. Go Astros! |
Initial Post-Game Thoughts
I was glad to see two former Twins (MVP David Ortiz and Doug Mientkiewicz) making positive contributions. But a bunch of those BoSox need a QEFTSG makeover.

God wants a clean fight.
San Francisco conceptual artist Jonathon Keats, most famous for trying unsuccessfully to convince the Berkeley City Council to pass an unbreakable law (Aristotle's A=A, or "Every Entity Is Equal to Itself"), is working on a new project.
He's trying to genetically engineer God in a laboratory, using a technique called continuous in vitro evolution, a process used to accelerate useful mutations in bacteria by exposing them to favorable conditions. Since "favorable conditions" to God would mean the presence of continual worship and praise, he's playing tapes of various world religions' prayers to petri dishes filled with bacteria. Eventually, he reasons, the bacteria will evolve to those most capable of taking advantage of the favorable environment. Bingo, divinity. This is not the interesting part. The interesting part is that Christianity is winning. (As a typical San Francisco moral relativist, Keats notes that his methodology may be flawed.) http://www.sfgate.com/gate/pictures/...god.4.20.2.jpg Deus ex machina. ETA: I just broke out the ol' Enigma disc to see if these bacteria really know whut's whut, ya feel? Lemme tell you, this prayer shit is hot. The Cowboy Junkies disc is going off the bedroom rotation. Ya gots to get monky if you wants to get fonky. Also, these bacteria are on to something, lifestyle-wise. I wonder if Whole Foods is open at this hour --- I'm getting me a jar of that agar. |
