C'mon
We are not comparing Joe Mauer to Kent Fucking Hrbek.
ETA: I guess he was okay in RBI Baseball. http://www.renoise.com/indepth/wp-co...bibaseball.gif |

Span - .312, 179 hits, 23 steals, Cabrera - .292 Mauer - .364, 28 HR, 96 RBI, 1.027 OPS Morneau (including post injury) - .274, 30 HR, 100 RBI Kubel - .300, 27 HR, 102 RBI Cuddyear - .276, 32 HR, 94 RBI Young - .285, 12 HR, 60 RBI Although I think the Twins need to give serious consideration to moving him to third next year to replace the always injured Crede and get Morales (.316) into the lineup |

Morneau should be interesting though. Yanks don't need a first baseman, although I guess the Sox have the option of moving Youklis back to third. |

Facebook etiquette
The mother of decades-ago ex just friended me on Facebook. Isn't that a little weird? She was always a good person, the kind of person I wouldn't want to say "no" to.

I'm facing a facebook friend dilemna. I've been friended by THE asshole in my high school class of 35 people. I suffered 4 years of often racist harangues, physical threats, and occassional acts of violence (he threw me over a couple rows of chairs in the middle of class in a political argument). But now he friends me? How long am I entitled to hold a grudge? |

I got a friend request from a similar guy (although without the physical threats and acts of violence -I was bigger than him, although he was crazier), but being not very good at saying no, accepted. He is now on ignore. |

I am sure his view is that my continued reference to him as a "fucking racist cracker" justified everything, but, then, he was, quite overtly, a fucking racist cracker. |

1. I really don't know if he's still an asshole. He may have reformed himself. It happens. 2. Even today, after many years of being wholly unaware of his existence, thinking back on our time together in High School, and the things that were said and done, I can honestly say that I do, very truly and sincerely, hold a deep-seated grudge against the fucking asshole. |

2 i have a good friend from bumfuck Oklahoma- one sister married an Egyptian another an AA guy- a guy who was a friend in HS (unknown as a racist), friends him. my guy figures the guy can't be so bad still so he accepts- once he was a "friend" the racist posts some pix from HS and tags my guy. that gives his sisters a feed and they go to the racist guy's page. turns out the racist guy is now a racist and has some seriously nasty anti-muslim and black shit up. both sisters gave him grief. once i heard the story i unfriended coltrane- plus the hat always bothered me about him. |

She now lives here and we have become friends again. Speaking to her about our experiences and our hometown and the strangeness thereof (it's a seriously strange place) has been really edifying. Even though our lives are very different, we have some fundamental things in common, a way of looking at the world that's not necessarily shared by other friends in our lives. So, you never know, he might have changed and you may gain something valuable. If not, I keep a lot of people on ignore and set into groups so they can't see anything anyway. |

Protein powder, chocolate
What store do I buy this in if I could not find it at the fancy, large, new grocery store in West Hollywood? Or do I need to look harder? Whole Foods?Vitamin store at the mall? I would rather not order it from online. Thanks. I feel I am not getting enough protein.
