No doubt. I suggest Paigow's favorite locale -- Jamaica.

we got a gift basket that included a jar of caviar. it was opened yesterday and left in the refrigerator. does open caviar have a shelf life? I am considering bringing it home for New Year's Eve. is it like red wine, open for a few days means the quality erodes?

It dries out and tastes even worse after a day or two. Throw oil and salt on it, and serve it in small quantities on top of canapes with strong flavors, and no one will know.

We had been thinking about Hawaii or Costa Rica, but now we are making plans with others in the extended Slothrop family, and so the southeastern-United-States thing is pretty much set.

Cut it with the cheap stuff.

ETA: This cheap caviar paste is great for hors d'oeuvres.

The Swedes use it on sandwiches (smörgåsar) like we'd use mustard or relish.

I thought you had to be smart to get into Berkeley. Apparently LSAT scores are not a predictor of the logic it requires to understand that casinos have surveillance cameras all over the place.

Idiot law students in Vegas.

Are you saying that streetsmart plaintiffs lawyers never get fucked up and do stupid stuff? In Vegas?

I had no idea they were such a dull bunch.

The most stupid stuff I have ever done in Vegas is pay some of said money for the whole purpose of seeing ugly girls get naked. Allegedly.

So, I got a new MacBook Pro for Christmas, to replace my four-year-old one. Yes, I am spoiled. Should I try to do the data transfer myself, or just take it to the Genius Bar?

DIY. Easier than making toast. If you have the right cable. Last time I did it it was fire wire to firewire but I don't know what they use now.

You plug a cable into one computer. Then you plug the other end into the other computer. Then you click next.

You walk away for a while.

When you come back, you have a clone of your old mac.

With toast you have to get the butter on right so as not to tear the bread, you have to make sure it's even.

Disney

Where should we stay? At Disney or off campus? Kids are 5 and 3. Would like to get a reasonably priced suite so we don't have to go to bed when the kids do.
