Sure, the constant chicka chicka of the guitar can seem soothing if you are too high to get up off the couch (been there), but that is the beginning and the end of the usefulness of this genre of music.

The other is that the basic rule you describe is certainly clear for anyone who cares about process, but I think most voters go with the idea that whoever gets the most votes wins. If Trump is leader -- delegates, votes, whatever, if Cruz doesn't catch him -- and then doesn't get the nomination, that is going to sit very poorly with a lot of people who are Republicans in the sense that they voted in the GOP primaries and caucuses.
