Things to blow TM's mind:

Patriots interested in Vick?

On the one hand, Vick gets a job.

On the other, it's with the Pats.

This has been widely speculated (at least here) on the theory that he is best off going to a team that is stable, respected and successful, and where he can be a backup, at least to start.

I'm not a Vick fan. But I think a suspension after 2 years in jail doesn't make an ounce of sense. I tell you this, though. If Belichick signs Vick, coaches him up and he steps in and does a good job if Brady goes down again, amongst the players, he'll be the most respected and trusted coach in the league. Players will be killing themselves to play for him.

I'm not a Vick fan, either. But hey, he did his time. OTOH, I would want to have one hell of a morals clause in his contract if I was Pat's management.

NFL contracts aren't guaranteed. And I'll bet Vick gets no signing bonus, wherever he ends up, and that's the only guaranteed money players get.

So?

I didn't say he was guaranteed a contract. Nor did I say he should be. All I said was, he did his time. If some team wants to hire him, I don't have a huge problem with it.

I think he's an asshole. But if everyone I thought was an asshole had to crawl under a rock and live in poverty and anonymity for the rest of their lives, we'd run out of rocks.

They're vicious. Warning to the guys, there is cringeworthy stuff about what they did to his private parts.

I think this Wisconsin guy is going to think twice about cheating on the women with whom he's cheating on his wife. It's hard to know which made them more angry, the fact that he was married, that he had several girlfriends or that he hit them up for money.

some guy cheats on wifey with u, then you find out he has three other girlfriends, meanwhile you've been giving him money, and you get mad at him? I'd blame the person in those photos you keep posting if I were u.

I have only ever been "the other woman" to girlfriends, and I would not give money to someone I was fucking.

Exactly. those chicks just broke up with their man, they should be worried about how they look.

I have a question, if one's dating pool looks like those ladies, is variety a good thing?

I have really, really geeky friends who are ubersmart and read scientific journals on a regular basis. Last night, during a geek-out (we recently embarked on a Babalyon 5-athon), one showed us the journal article that beats out the article on Copper Nanotubes with the unfortunate acronym as proof that chemistry journals either don't edit at all or have a very purile sense of humor: Scroll to the diagram in the abstract. We're thinking about getting tee-shirts made with the diagram on the front and the citation on the back.

It all depends on what the guy looks like.

Besides a mug shot is the photo equivalent of a drivers license photo with the added stress of having been arrested. (Not that I would know from personal experience, I'm just guessing.) Even really attractive people take bad mug shots.

I haven't seen anyone use a mug shot for their online dating profile but maybe you have access to other sites? Does your wife know that you are looking to date inmates?

if i did cheat, it would make sense to find bitches like those- the wife'd be afraid to complain- look what they did to the loser they used to date. can you imagine what they'd do to keep a catch like me?

I don't get the joke. Is it that you cannot carry out a characterization of ruthenium polypyridine complexes by means of positive ion electrospray?

Are you serious? re-read this part: "This complex exhibited aggregation phenomena in aqueous solution, involving π−π stacking of the planar, hydrophobic BPEB ligands. According to NMR measurements and variable-temperature experiments, the addition of β-cyclodextrin (βCD) to [Ru(bpy)2Cl(BPEB)]+ leads to an inclusion complex, breaking down the aggregated array. "

the joke is xenophobic, but it goes something like this, "Only a south american chemist would do aggregation testing, by running actual variable temp experiments- i mean can't they run simulations? maybe if they bought less pisco they could afford some chemometric software."

plus "inclusion complex" sounds funny.
