Biggest puffed thing I've heard of. Peloton is an overpriced machine with pricy monthly fees. That is what it is. It's for people with money to waste, so saying the ad appeals to rich people is like complaining kid's cereal use cartoons in ads.

And it's an ad to convince people to buy the machines as a Christmas gift, so they have to show them being given as a gift. But the thing is, no one is spending over $2000 on a machine for someone without asking first. It's like the ads where someone buys their husband a car. "Oh, honey you bought me a car!" No one does that, there is always going to be a discussion if the person wants it. But the ad has to plant the idea, and showing the discussion would be boring.

Were Turley and the other law professors who testified today ever asked about the Republicans' due process arguments? If not, seems like that was a missed opportunity.

But the looks on the woman's face were priceless. I really was expecting a few blinks to show it was a hostage situation. And the Eva Victor parody really caught that.

If the Peleton video feed were on a wall sized screen and included large rear view mirror feeds that made it seem you were riding across a battlefield, with people crashing and bombs going off around you, with zombies, or ISIS, on your tail, I think it’d provide a hell of a cardio workout.

The pushback over this ad is a bit much. If I bought my wife, who runs 9 miles a day, a Peloton bike, she would be over the moon. And that ad is aimed at those types of psychos.

I'd say, "averages" is probably more accurate. But she doesn't run fewer than 8 miles, ever. She's insane. This year she went 120 days in a row as some sort of lunatic personal challenge. The streak stopped when she only ran 7 miles one day because that distance "didn't count."

In the event there is a stress fracture from running every single day, then you may find yourself buying one of those fancy evil Peloton bikes. Or, um, so I've heard. The problem is, the expectations set in the ads are that you are going to have a dedicated room, 2500 sq. ft. minimum, with floor-to-ceiling windows and *gorgeous* views, in which to place your Peloton bike altar.
