Yes. That's why I put it on the list.

I guess I just think "track, basketball, football, baseball, hockey, soccer, etc." when I think, "athlete."

Well, you are clearly not totally stoked for the upcoming powder, then.

This always annoyed me in Denver: people always telling me when I am or should be "stoked" about something. I'll let you know when I'm stoked.

I do not believe I have ever been stoked.

As for winter sports and awd, okay. I suppose. "Athlete" seems like a strange shorthand for "person who may drive in the snow a lot."

My mountain bike doesn't fit in the trunk of my car. My road bike might, if I took the wheels off. I would much rather throw a dirty mountain bike in the back of a station wagon or CUV's cargo hold than in the carpeted trunk of a sedan (after going through the trouble of taking off both wheels).

I don't ski, but I understand how stoked one can be about throwing one's self down the side of a mountain at up to 60 miles an hour.

The mere thought of it gives me vertigo.

The thing that has always annoyed me about Denver people is that they all seem to go on and on about how great the weather is. Things like "We get over 300 sunny days every year!" or "It never really gets cold in the winter!" They are all fucking brainwashed. You know what, morons? It gets cold there. For months on end even. It also can sleet during the middle of June (as it did during my one cross-country trip through Denver). I'm not sure what they put in the water there but it must be strong stuff.

At least when I brag about the weather here is is not delusional. Speaking of which, rain all weekend! I'm hoping it holds off until after my trek up 405 into the valley (!!) tonight to pick up a kitty cat.

Actually, Denver weather is pretty good. Better than Chicago (but that's not saying much). Definitely warmer in the winter than the midwest and northeast. And beautiful in the summer.

Plus, it's not LA.

ETA posted too slow.

If we are going to give e/o grief for her nicknames, we can't let this go, can we? This construction always makes me think of "Jimmy likes Elaine."

This seems like something ABBA would do in her office.

Now that the salty jokes have already been made, I can in earnest mention the salted caramels they sell at Trader Joe's. They are perfect - not too salty at all.

You can't be seriously suggesting that Abba would put scrunchies in her hair. That's totally unrealistic.

I am considering a mid January trip to Chicago for a fundraiser. What type of outerwear does one wear in the brutal cold?

Right. I am sure she has a nicer desk, too.
