I can't, I have to testify against 3 homophobes tomorrow.

Believe me, I would much rather look at BnB's fabulous breasts, but I don't think the judge would accept the excuse that I ignored the 6 subpoenas that were shoved under my door this evening because I wanted to look at tits. HIPAA or Mental Health Advice Needed
 

The Fugee Dad's other brother called me today and wants to do an intervention on the uncle who wrote the "I could kill you all" letter to Fugee Dad. If the uncle won't agree to voluntarily get help, something involuntary is a possibility on the grounds that he is a danger to himself and others.

My job is to look into the legalities -- what it takes to have someone hospitalized involuntarily for 24/48/72 hours for observation. Who one can call to go on an intervention along with the family members. Etc. This would be in Idaho.

Also, I think it would be a good idea to let his treating physician known he's gone a bit off the deep end. But with HIPAA I can't simply call the clinics in his town and ask if he is a patient there.

If you have any words of wisdom regarding inventions or speaking to his physician without making the clinic violate HIPAA, please PM me.
