Is fur an option? Something in a sable should do.

Dead animals are always appropriate in the cold. Plus boots, hats and mittens designed primarily for warmth not fashion.

You don't. Why should anyone else?

I was discussing the board with my new girlfriend, and my new girlfriend who is really hot says we do.

But thanks again for shrewdly (and stridently) pointing out the error of my ways. A board mentor like you sure is constructive. We're all so grateful for your input. Thanks again!!

Thanks, I was specifically wondering if I should/could wear fur, which I love.

I almost got a full length sable coat with fox trim a couple of years ago, but since we have like 5 truly cold days here, I could not justify it, though I looked and felt like a Russian princess.

I did buy a ridiculously beautiful coat for my mother -- sheared mink and chinchilla -- and I may borrow it from her after our Christmas trip, as she'll not need it in Florida.

Actually, Denver weather is pretty good. Better than Chicago (but that's not saying much). Definitely warmer in the winter than the midwest and northeast. And beautiful in the summer.

Plus, it's not LA.

Sounds like someone would be totally stoked to move to Denver. And would fit right in!!

As for winter sports and awd, okay. I suppose. "Athlete" seems like a strange shorthand for "person who may drive in the snow a lot."

Have we determined that E/Os athlete BF, who is an athlete, does his athletic stuff in the snow?

That seems odd, given that this particular athletic BF lives in Texas. But what do I know, I'm not an accomplished athlete.

Or a famous one. What do you know?

I'm not sure, but whenever I think about athletes from now on, this is what I will be picturing:
