Damn Bill Watterson. Why couldn't he keep that stuff coming? One of the best cartoon series ever. Well, the best (just to stir the pot).
Just to throw another name out there, but Gary Larson was on Morning Edition this morning talking about his new Far Side Anthology (available at Amazon for less than a hundred bucks...), and you can check out the interview here.

SD has lost all credibility as far as I'm concerned.

I'd be happy to discuss that since I actually know something about both of those topics. There's no shame in being a geek, SD. Throwing out the "that's gay and geeky! Eww" line doesn't really get one anywhere. At least with me.

Blech. Usually I agree with you but Cathy gives me a rash. Just irritating.

Far Side rocks.

I am interested that the guy keeps harping on the womens' manners (not saying they have them, particularly, but noting whenever they display some). Particularly, that he gave one chick a necklace entirely because she was the first one he heard say "thank you," and regretting that he had given a necklace to a woman who DIDN'T say thank you for it.

How funny were the womens' reactions to his saying grace?

Is anyone else struck by the quality of the blue of a lot of the womens' eyes? I am beginning to think of it as a "non-American" thing to have eyes in the flat, opaque, bright, unmixed sky blue that seems to show up on the swedes, Dutch and some of the czechs. (Maybe up in Bilmore-dom all the Svens and Ollies have it, but I sure haven't seen it anywhere else I've been.) Maybe it is just the way they are lighting shots, but it was sort of freaking me out. National inbreeding can be an interesting thing, I guess.

Yeah. That's 1A (or 1B is C&H is 1A). Damn Gary Larson.

I haven't watched the show, so maybe you picked the best ones, but gross. From what I've seen of the new Joe, he's no prize either.

Cathy is how I (and SD I'm sure) picture fringey. I think she should make Cathy her new avatar.

Sure, every person is a geek in some sense (I'm a huge music geek), but I guess in some sense, I may not be quite as much a geek as some folks. This may hit the nail on the head as to why I hate this job so much. I feel like a lot of the people I work with and I have so little in common. Maybe this is an epiphany.

S(I think I may be too stupid to be a geek, if that makes sense... not sure I was born that way, but I think I may be there now)D

Thanks!

Et tu, Slave?

I heard they're going to have Halley Joe Osment play Smeigel in the next Ring movie. Fucking awesome.

The new Dave Matthews. Pretty smokin' stuff.
