For the record, I object to my mother's boyfriend. I don't know what he drives, though. I am neither kind nor tolerant.

They never come, only come when they wanna.

Beaten to it by Burger. Sad.

FYI, he did the Eddie Grant one too.

I use my Fiat Spider to drive to my real car, which, for obvious reasons, has awd and extra hauling capabilities.

The Cooperman has AWD as an option?

Use the little post-its. Or, better yet, the tape flags.

We await the photos.

Would you object to him if your mom weren't constantly telling you about all the long, hot, passionate, sweaty fucking they do?

Um. Okay. I didn't anticipate that you would take it that way. But regardless, I was curious about how much time e/o inferred from the facts. As the guy probably started fleeing when he heard the sirens approach, it wasn't clear to me that any particular period of time was necessarily implied.

And since it is e/o, I would not be surprised if she thought any period of time longer than a few seconds is an outrage.

Please, god, tell me he meant that the guy started "fleeing"

Subdue, rape, stab to death . . . a minimum of ten minutes, right? Probably closer to 20. Yes, I would expect the police to arrive in fewer than 10 minutes if someone were breaking into my house while I were inside.

From the time the call comes into 911, they should be dispatching a car in the area, which should take no more than 5 minutes. I do live in a ridiculously well policed area because there is a substation within a quarter mile for police and a fire station with emts also in the neighborhood, but it should be, anywhere, call the cops, the cops come.

The OddMan is a first responder now and there are sections of our metro area that are a good 20 minutes from assistance because they are so rural. That is not ncs's area, which should be well-patrolled.

You are damned right I am outraged, but I am equally outraged about cities that have to have environmental justice managers because utility companies do not supply basic utilities to poor areas and that I had to present testimony to a legislative committee because a telecom refused to provide broadband service to minority businesses.

I use the Cooper to get snacks from the kitchen in the middle of the night (the marble floors, although heated, are terribly chilly when we turn off the heat for the good of the environment, you know). But yes, the guy who takes care of such things for me (I can't be expected to know all the help's names) made it so.
