NI always gets a few fluke results (I seem to recall they beat England 1-0 a couple of years ago) but They Are No Greece. No. Greece.

*I looked at the roster and still have no idea. A lot of mid- to bottom-table EPL players, 2d division and SPL players (Ivan Sproule has been good for Hibs).

PS - Remember when everyone thought Wales was going to the WC finals?
I just read an article on the UEFA web site. This Healy fellow seems to do all the scoring for them.

In other Euro qualifying news, 8 of England's 9 goals in the competition have come against Andorra. (The other one was against Macedonia.) Sad.

Honeybees disappearing. They aren't even finding dead ones -- they're just gone.

Yay!

Though, I now suspect you are the person who has removed the bees. So when no crops get pollinated, so there's no food for us humans or for livestock, we will know who to blame and where to heap the rotting carcasses. They'll be emaciated,so the smell shouldn't be too bad.

I love Douglas Adams. Or his books, at least. Why do you question this?

I don't recall you being involved in the discussions about the movie.

Well then you have some kind of mental block, because I know I at least mentioned it.

I'm sure someday I will get over the now clear fact that you think I am not even as socially acceptable as a geek/nerd/dork.

This is just the sort of glib, ignorant, self-satisfied and smug attitude that almost guarantees total environmental destruction for us all and, more importantly, our children. And whoever will be taking care of Less when he gets old.

Do you even know where seedless clementines come from? That's right, they come from the clementine plant, a hardy perennial that needs honeybees to aerate the soil around its roots. Without the ceaseless busy tunneling of the honeybees and their friendly helpers, the Bolivian Tree Frogs, those long clementine vines that we all remember from our childhood trips to the country farmstand for cider and shotgun shells, with their bright green needles that signal the presence of juicy clementines just underground, ready to be dug up and enjoyed, would suffocate in a matter of days. Days. But I suppose you couldn't care less.

I don't think that at all, but I am thinking that you might be crazy given your interpretations of my posts.

Oh. I don't have all the books memorized, and I'm possibly stupid. I posted about HHGTTG (the movie) in April of 05.

I have no recollection of that. I would be an outstanding deponent.

And by "deponent", I mean "fuck".

The subject line popped into my head last night and I really, really wanted to use it.

Alternatively, we're all going to DIE!

Some bee expert on NPR yesterday blamed those white beehive boxes. I think 3-2-1 Contact! explained to me how they worked. Apparently they were designed in around the 1880s and haven't been updated since. Who knew that beehive technology needed to advance along with the rest of civilization?
