It seems the chasing of class in modern society is more harmful than the chasing of vanity by multiples.

As an aside, its undisputed that the judging of others based on class creates a system whereby those without class seek it, which under the accepted class distinctions, is classless. Wouldn't it follow then that judging by class is inherently classless?
