Agree. To achieve stability, the board ecosystem needs one, and preferably no more than one, poster who supplies the fodder on which others merely feed. That poster possesses the magical combination of pathological self absorbtion, copious free time, and either wit or malice (sometimes both). That person has been at various points Paigow, sunnybunny, patentpara, Penske and NFH.

What is chilling to the core is the thought that role is now played by Hank.

OTOH, if the board dies it will be because you couldn't perform a job previously done adequately by ppnyc. Think about it.

PPNYC is one I’ll mention
But, he did what he had to do
And saw it through without deletion.

He planned each longtime lurker;
to first time post & dupe the GAs,
But more, much more than this,
P won the most Ks.

Yes, there were times, when TM knew
then P joined Paigs, their fans were few,
But through it all, when socks were out,
Flame wars with Shave were still a rout.
He faced McBeav and didn’t weave;
And won the most Ks.

P’s OBE, fecta champ, king of socks sired.
but had his fill; his share o’Board fame.
and now, faux-retired
To find the Board has lost its game.
