I'm confused by this "I totally heart somebody" thing. You don't know them, and are pretty much reacting on a visceral, lust-based level, I'm guessing, so shouldn't you say "I totally vagina Ed Norton"?

I think he got Jimmy the Greek-ed, and deservedly so...

Certainly, but your point is somewhat weakened by the fact that she is admittedly one of the very few women who can (partially) compete with the men in this event.

"Imply"? I thought I was pretty direct! When I want to imply something, bucko, well, you'll know it!

My point is, our desire to build a more fair world notwithstanding, bios trumps ethos, and any attempt to artifically insist on "equality" in large-muscle-group performance is only bound to hurt women more than help them.

Now, if they would play nude, . . .
How is my point weakened? I didn't say she was going to win the fucking thing, but she won't embarrass herself, either. I will, however, make the point that she is likely a better golfer than some of the men on the tour and that is what some of them are really afraid of. Besides, I'm not really taking up the cause of all women by saying she deserves a chance to play, I'm talking about her specifically. I never in any of my posts tried to turn this into a larger boys v. girls thing. I really couldn't care less.

As to your last comment is there such a thing as "Foxy Golf" (like foxy boxing) anywhere?

You could be correct, although it would difficult to design the bumper sticker.

This may be the first and last time Carl Pavano is mistaken for John Smoltz. You should send him the url or something.

Hey, don't forget about women's figure skating. That's what's keeping figure skating on the map.

What? Are you saying you prefer men's figure skating? Or that figure skating isn't on the map?

And note to Dualit - it's too, not to.

Based on the male golfers I know, that's a pretty level playing field.

As long as there is always someone ready to step forward to attempt to tackle the difficult issues as they arise, we will remain free.

I salute you.

No, Ruben is boring because he sings the same songs in the same style every week. Watching Kimberley and Clay get better every week is interesting. Watching Ruben get a little worse every week is not. He was pretty lame yesterday. He had phlegm in his throat and he was consistently sharp. I think he could put out a nice CD, but I can't imagine he's have the stamina to tour and put on a live show that will keep people awake for 90 minutes.

I thought it was the leotards, short skirts and flexibility, but that might be just me. ;)
