At the time I got and wore them, I don't think the extensions were available, and anyway I was poor.

Everyone remembers things wrong sometimes. That's why God invented Wikipedia.

IIRC, and I probably don't, when you were about to hit 10,000 you stopped posting for a while, so that your 10,000th could be momentous.

Or maybe I dreamed that.

By the way, why was Richard Dawson not in 100 movies as a scumbag, letch? I only remember him on Hogan's Heros and Running Man. But, here's a guy who managed to find a gig where he could kiss the wives and daughters of a dude, right in front of him, without repurcussion. And Dawson was a fantastic scumbag in Running Man. I would have cast him ahead of Costanza in Pretty Woman (I think he was still alive then).

Given that he's still alive *now*, I would have to go with yes, alive then.

If it weren't for Abe Vigoda, Dawson would be the person everyone thinks is dead but is actually alive.

In the course of learning that, I also learned that his wife is a former contestant on Family Feud.

No shit? I guess it was the other little Family Feud guy who killed himself then. Where the hell has Dawson been, anyway?

From his Wikipedia entry:
Quote:

He was considered for the current version of Family Feud, but elected to retire instead of accepting the offer to host.

Two Things:

1. One game for the central? I'll take the Twins.

2. Championships Schmanpionfips. Don't stand in the way of ARod and his stats. He went into yesterday's game 2 homers short of 30 and 7 RBI short of 100. He hits a 3 run shot and a grand slam in the same inning to keep his streak of 30 home run and 100 RBI seasons going (and it's now at 13)! He ain't the most likeable guy in the world, but that is unbelievable. And he missed like 5-6 weeks this year.

That is all.

Guess he finally got the pro quo for tipping pitches to his opponents while on the Rangers.

Abe Vigoda just won't die. I am sure that if I take him off my death pool list next year, he will die on January 2.

Probably strained his wrist doing it and will hit for shit in the playoffs.

How long before the NY press starts talking about how good Joe Mauer will look in pinstripes in 2011? Does Hank (S, not C) just blow the doors off to make the hometown discount too big for Joe to swallow?
