I remember we were in a playoff series with them not long after it opened, and they hit a fly ball that hits the wall, so our outfielder is ready to play the karom BUT it turns out the wall was soft, more a curtain, so the ball simple fell straight down. Our outfielder is like NWTF?

The Twins have been an above-average team over the past 7 years. Without the dome's significant advantage, they are and have been an average team. Don't be surprised when they finish around 81-81 over the next several seasons.

But this may not be the correct answer. See http://www.infoplease.com/askeds/twin-cities.html

I know THAT,silly. I have visited the Twin Cities many times. I just wondered what was twinny about them. Just because they are two major cities close to one another?

Wow. I didn't get a lot of exotic travel like this.

Boston and Cambridge are close to each other, but we think of ourselves more as the sibling rival cities.

We DO have a book thread here for this sort of query. Sheesh.

I wasn't sure if they qualified. For example, I doubt you or anyone in your apartment, nay, building has even read them.

The book thread is for any book discussions. There is no requirement that the book be literature or well-written. The idea was just to have all those topics in one place in case you ever want to find a particular book discussion without wading through all the fashion board posts. Especially helpful as long as the search function is disabled.

I love the Alan Furst thrillers set during World War II, but not enough to buy them in hardcover. And the up side to getting into series that have been out for years (Henning Mankell, Maj Sjostrom and Per Wahloo) is that they're all out in paperback, just waiting for you.

You could just order the hardback or paperback version of the third Stieg Larsson from Amazon.co.uk. The hardback version is under 10 pounds. (Shipping will double the price, but I find it's worth it to get my favorite British authors' new works a half-year to a year earlier.) Or if you can stand to read a Kindle, it's already available in e-book form from Amazon.com . . . .
