Motherfucker looks evil, doesn't he?
Are those really bad squirrel teeth, or is that dog flesh hanging from its mouth?

It seems like a number of people here are regular readers of Salon. Is it just me or does it seem to have gone downhill since the new editor took over and the site was redesigned?

One last NFH link and I'll stop.

You can talk about how naughty or nice you've been with hunky Santa at the Beverly Center in LA !

And you can bring in your pet squirrel to ask for nuts on Mondays!

I trust you LA folk will investigate and report back.

Squirrels actually have the icky tails. If you get close enough, you can see it through the fluffy fur.

I hate, hate, hate the new format. I find it impossible to find anything that's more than a few days old, and I'm still not sure where the movie reviews are (not that I've ever agreed with anything that Stephanie Zacharek on anything).

Why life ends at 36. (PB Cross-Post!)

While I have no doubt that Ms. Aniston is a paragon of charm, wit, and intelligence, she is also 36 years old. Even with the strenuous body-hardening exercise routines now compulsory for movie stars, at age 36 the forces of nature have won out over the view-worthiness of the unsupported female bust.

It is, in fact, a sad truth about human life that beyond our salad days, very few of us are interesting to look at in the buff. Added to that sadness is the very unfair truth that a woman's salad days are shorter than a man's — really, in this precise context, only from about 15 to 20. The Nautilus and the treadmill can add a half decade or so, but by 36 the bloom is definitely off the rose.

Poor, poor, dumbshit Republican. If there's a Mrs. Derbyshire, I give 50/50 odds that John won't see the morning.
How bright can the lad possibly be if he can't draw the blatant connection between celebrity, fame, wealth and cosmetic surgery? Perhaps it would be best if Mrs. Derbyshire did him in, from a Darwinist perspective. Thinning the herd and whatnot.

The Puppy (yeah, I know, she's two, but if you met her, you'd think of her as a puppy too) feels it is her sacred duty to protect my yard from squirrels. I may have to show her this article and persuade her that perhaps her vigilance isn't necessary. On the upside, it looks like there are plenty of pecans to eat (and bury in my flowerpots), so she may be safe this year.
Once, just once, we do the dog and everyone thinks it's a big deal. How many dogs have shredded squirrels? Do we not bleed?

Nuts! NUTS!

Do you know what we can do with those tails?

NUTS!

God I love The Superficial. And I always forget how much. And some wonderful person on here never fails to post a link periodically to make my day.
