I don't think so, but they sure look happy though, don't they? I think we've all learned a valuable lesson here today.

Boots and Ed Hardy Revisited

I saw this picture and thought of this place:

Stolen from the comments on an article on The Awl about the thigh-high boot trend.

But if we don't warn him away from those, he might never get laid.

Its not fair. As a Fat, I know there’s shit I shouldn’t be wearing. Not everyone, however, follows the rules. And for the good of humanity, they really should. Thighboots are just the beginning.

I would have to say yes. She's a Kind Fat.

And a funny writer to boot. (Ha! Get it? To boot?!?)

people suck: chapter 45,675

so my son goes to college, and several of his treammates do too. the 5 starters from his team all playing college ball somewhere- one kid is promised "you have a spot on varsity", but no athletic $$$. this is a private D-2 that costs a ton- he covers tuition with aid etc. and shows up for practice to find 10 other freshman heard the exact same promise. there isn't 1 spot for them, let alone 10.

this fucking coach takes advantage of a kid*, either to have 10 prospects to pick 1 or 2 from OR merely to get tuition into the school? I've heard of coaches doing that shit, but it seems an awfully sick way to make a living, crushing (for a time at least) some kid's, or kids' dreams.

*he was advised not to trust the promise- and had another option that was more reliable, but you cannot talk to a young person sometimes.

College coaches can reach their own special level of sucking.

Posting shit on facebook is actually a good idea. I recently gave a lecture on facebook to a bunch of faculty at a University, and one of the questions was "how do we get them to stop posting bad stuff about us?" Word of mouth is quite effective.

Did you suggest that they stop doing stuff that pisses off the students?

I advised them to avoid ratemyprofessor.com at all costs.

hmmm. not long lived enough to get the word out, unless he goes back every
March and reposts the story, but he will be somewhere else needing to seem like he moved on.

Agreed. And, from my experience, almost all college coaches suck when it comes to recruiting--even at DIII (non-scholarship) schools.
