I grew up in a town that the British marched on because they believed (correctly) that the colonials were storing weapons there, which started the whole damn war in the first place. So I get the fighting the whole tyrannical government thing. But these days, the people who talk about arming themselves against an oppressive government seem, at most, a half step away from the tweaker ex-boyfriend of a family member who used to mutter darkly about subliminal government mind control and pronounce wild-eyed warnings about the unchecked powers of FEMA to place Americans in concentration camps.
