 Apropos of soccer, I watched "Victory" for the first time this weekend. It's hilarious. One of those movies that is so ridiculous a la "Road House" that every scene is laugh-out-loud funny. Just seeing Michael Caine and Stallone in the same scene is enough to make you laugh. And then Stallone speaks...sometimes in French! Good times! And the recruitment of Pele? Too much. The soccer scenes are actually excellent, although they should be since all of the players except Caine and Stallone were real footballers. |
