Sadly I think my love for the 5 stopped at the E39. My love for the 3 may similarly stop with the E92. So not being a status-conscious asshat I may have to stick with my 2000 outback with enough mileage to get it to lunar orbit.

[multitasker]I have so little free time that I try to get my masturbation in while commuting to work. [/multitasker] I cannot possibly drive a stick.

p.s. to NYC- next Tuesday (the 22nd) the Moth at Housing Works bookstore in Soho. Be there by 6 to ensure entry- possible early (5ish) or late (after 10) drinks? If called I will own that room.

That's a cute little thing. Very manly. Like a kilt.

My football team is better than yours.

No offense, but you can't really pull off the macho insult. Just doesn't carry any weight or effect. Now, if you were insulting my taste in cheese or Danish architecture periodicals, at least that would be passable.

There's really no need for those kinds of insults, especially when you use "taste" and "Danish architecture" in the same sentence.

And my football team is still better than yours.

You arguing football with Flinty is cute. Did your team take a holiday last time around?

Yeh, let's see if your guys can get past the crackers next week and watch what happens when we face you in the big Nerd Bowl. We'll see whose football team is cute.

Johnny Rockets.

? I feel like you suggested Johnny Rockets. But I have a horrible memory, so maybe I did.

That said, I think I had 30-40 minutes to meet with you, I didn't know anything about the neighborhood other than the restaurant directly downstairs from where I was staying and that they have pretty good burgers. We didn't have Johnny Rockets in NYC at that point, so it was a novelty to me. And you never mentioned anything about the best Italian beef in the city or any other restaurant for that matter.

If I had more time, we surely would have gone somewhere else (I would definitely have rather had some Chicago Pizza, which I love). So, I'm not sure you're making the point you think you're making.

I hope the one in NYC is better than the one in Chicago.

ETA: I haven't paid for a steak at a steakhouse in 10 years. Wonk is right - it's the meal to eat when someone else is paying or you can get reimbursed.

I want you to know that I've put my scientific calculator down (well, actually, I put it back in its protective case, and then I put the case carefully back into the original cardboard packaging, and then in my locked desk drawer), and I've loosened my bow tie, and as soon as I get my inhaler refill, it is on like Donkey Kong.

I thought of you all over the weekend when we drove past the local Hooters and ate lousy steak here:

It was for a family member/kid birthday get-together and even the former fans in the family were disappointed.

Before booking your Super Bowl plans, you should be on the lookout this week for a Bill Simmons Freakout over the Ravens and how they'll probably injure 8 Patriots and sneak out with a win in Foxboro.
