G3 likes to wear diapers? I understand the diaper tie-in to the LWK thing, but I think this belongs on the FB.

I suggest an Ekornes (or -like) chair. Leather means easy cleanup and appropiateness for a living room/family room. Reclining means easy comfort and napping, now and later. And they provide a nice platform for reverse cowgirl.

For example (you select color/style)

That is not attractive. Though I see what you mean about reverse cowgirl platform. I think it's the base that bugs me.

The implication is that I like my women to wear diapers. This is obviously a Hank plant. And, if this were the fashion board, I would of course respond with a reference to Hank's beastiality thing, but, since this is a family oriented board, I will not.

I think there are different bases. But, having one at home, it's not nearly as noticeable when it's on anything other than a white carpet. And white carpets with black chairs are very mid-80s, and thus not in teh burger household.

Besides, as long as the girl's not ugly, you won't notice the base.

It's in the middle of the damn living room. It's noticeable.

Move your furniture. the middle of the living room should be open or a coffee table.

Unless you want to put yourself on display in some really bizarre way.

It's in a damn public room of the house. Happy?

Actually, the way my living room/dining room/entry are set up, my one armchair is highly visible.

And, reverse cowgirl is a pretty display-y position for the chick -- an audience can see her better than the guy can.

ETA and since in this case the audience is an infant, perhaps rp should get a different chair.

Hey, I'm just trying to help RP through a challenging time. If she doesn't like the base, she can get some baby rocker that she'll never be able to reuse. This, there's at least a chance. She can set it up in a "Man Room" in case she want to impress the fellas.

Oooh, a Man Room. I like the sound of that. Better than a vomitorium!

(I have a feeling the man room will be next to the washer and dryer.)

ETA that I was thinking of something more like this:

That's the route I'd take, but then I'm not into the reverse cowgirl.

In Germany, I am told, all the right-sort men have a Herrenzimmer. My sister has gone to great lengths to stop her fiancee from importing that idea to the US.

That doesn't sound like a bad idea provided you have the space for a Damenzimmer, too. FYI, fringey, in my Damenzimmer we would have Kaffee and Kuchen every day at Sechszehn Uhr.

Kuchen reminds me of my not-fun grandmother (*shudder*). I don't know what Sechszehn Uhr is, and no one has given a clue on Herrenzimmherherhasdf either.

I am so non-germanic.

With all the baby action around here over the last few months, it strikes me that it's been a while since we discussed pregnancy sex.

So, what's the feeling: Pregnancy sex, good, better, best?

You are deliberately isolating non-German-speakers. Or however that should be hyphenated.

Please don't be the kind of parent who worries excessively about safety issues. It's not you.

I don't know how upset she was. I didn't talk to her. OTOH, the head teacher was put out on a few levels, one of which involved my son's pottymouth. I didn't want to tell her that we've been trying to desensitize him to that kind of talk by using the prefix poopy- and the suffix -butt as much as possible around the house.

2.

We've had lots of friends who had a bear of a time gettng their kids to switch from crib to toddler bed, with the process repeating itself when the time came to switch from toddler bed to "real bed". Why go through the aggravation twice?

We're also a "no bassinette" household. Our thinking being we wanted to teach the kids how to sleep throught the night in their crib as soon as possible.

Our girls are about 23 months apart and we found it necessary to buy a second crib. We left the crib in Soupette#1's room as a threat: if she got out of her big-girl bed when we didn't want her to, then she would have to go back to sleeping in the crib. Not that the crib could have contained her, but it still kept her in line.

As luck will have it, the age difference between Soupette#2 and Child#3 will also be 23 months, so we'll repeating the process this fall.
