Not evil William Shatner, trying to mislead us into a bad deal?

Or does the McGill thing make you turn against fellow Canadians?

Read it in your head in a William Shatner beat-poet voice.

izzo

motherfucker. why does this story have traction?

if LJ doesn't resign, Izzo wouldn't consider it, but the resign ain't happening anytime soon, meaning maybe this is part of a massive jigsaw puzzle of things to bring some other player plus izzo to cleveland. I can't spend my entire summer worrying.

plus, izzo is not a coach for God- he wouldn't do well there- can he bench Lebron for a week if he's pissed at him like he did with our best player last year?

More likely because he had nothing to say after Ice Cube stopped writing all his lyrics.

Did the tuba player play? That would be awesome if there was a rap song with a tuba.

I think so--plus other brass off-camera, I think. Or maybe just synth. But the tuba player was blowing.

What would have made it more awesome is if he'd danced like the guys from Florida A&M.

I had to think about that Venn diagram to get it -- no one in my family ever says "[bad thing someone did] makes the baby Jesus cry."

Viewing note: If you liked The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, the movie did the book justice. The girl who played Salandar was excellent, and the movie was wonderfully adapted. I have very few quibbles about what was left out. It was difficult to watch, but at least I knew what I was getting myself into. I can't imagine going into that movie blind.

There's no way the American version will be anywhere near as good.

Is Drogba playing? Because I don't think they will do that well without him. Plus they have horrendous uniforms.

The US always seems to place high, but I think that's more because it plays in the weakest (or maybe second weakest) region.

I'd love to see the African teams do well, their style is so much fun to watch. But I think Ivory Coast won't make it out of group play, sadly, with Drogba injured (even if he recovers well enough to play, he'll be off).
