I don't hate it. I just shake my head at your pitiful lack of gaydar. And, apparently, your love of off off off broadway one man show tunes acts coming to a suburb near you in about two years. If you were 11, I might understand the crush, given that you might not really know what gay is. Perhaps you need to hang out in my neighborhood a little more to hone your skills.

Anyway, I want my maude avatar back and am still having that problem with her that I had previosuly. I have the link to the avatar but that site wont let it copy or whatever. Someone suggested I paste it on antoher URL and copy that. I tried that, making my own geocities site and everything, but i get a message that this is not a proper jpg or gif file. Can somebody offer me an assist?

And nice work on the site. .

This weekend, I was reminded that Rick Springfield played Apollo's younger brother in Battlestar Galactica. He gets incinerated by the Cylons in the very first episode.

In other Battlestar Galactica news, they're remaking the series, and they've recreated Starbuck as a woman. I have grave, grave doubts that they'll be able to pull that off.

You know, there's a DVD out there with the first few episodes on it spliced together as a movie. I saw it a few months ago, and it wasn't bad, considering we're talking about Battlestar Galactica. I think that the SciFi channel does marathons every now and then.

I think that the SciFi channel is the brains behind the new operation, but I haven't looked around too much to find out about it. I have a friend that's incensed about changing Starbuck's sex, and she alerted me to the existence of the new series. I'm sure that there's probably plenty of info out there on the web.

Oh man. I hope the people who write her character do a better job than the never-had-a-date-or-interacted-with-an-actual-woman writers on Star Trek: Voyager--they had no idea what to do with Janeway except make her either a totally asexual automaton or an incompetent bimbo.

On a non-scifi note, congratulations B'n'B and welcome to your little munchkin!

Actually, I noticed yesterday when flipping through my digital cable web guide to find out when the openning day game was today (Go Os!), that there is Battlestar Galactica marathon on SciFi RIGHT NOW (Monday afternoon). To increase the cheeziness of this, I should add that it is not the original Battlestar Galactica, but rather Galatica 1980 that is showing, the follow-up show after they get to Earth (and leading the Cylons to us - thanks a lot) with various pseudo-renditions of the original cast (kind of like the last season of the Dukes of Hazzard).

-balt(when I was little, I had the Cylon fighter and the Galactica Viper fighter, both with working firing missles that my parents eventually took away from me because some stupid kid in Iowa choked on them and died and people said they were unsafe)assoc

Whether anything is groundbreaking is not the point.

The old board contains a part of our community's history and that history is worth preserving.

At this point, we are just grabbing from the most recent resting place, not FL.

I tried to respond to her post.

But, having mod privileges, I accidently edited it to include my response.

Discovering my error, I restored her post through the handy "back" arrow and listed that I had been the editor.

Then I posted my response.

Hey guys! I have finally registered and gotten my moniker all ready to go. Been busy lately, and everytime I checked in it seemed the board had already moved (NTTAWWT--thanks to all who have contributed so tirelessly to this effort). So anyway, look forward to enjoying our new home.

And E/O, getting some of our more priceless threads from FL is, I think, worth the time and effort. I have some ideas and will PM you to volunteer.

Glad to be back! :sportswav
