anyone have insight into how far down in the dating pool a handicap like that drops one? 2 points? 4? I'm talking a problem with a limb- not facial scarring.

in college there was a girl in my social circle who was quite stunning, but had a mal-formed hand. she was dating a guy at least 3 points below her (if she was a 9 the guy was stretching to be a 6). I don't know if it was the hand, or if she just liked his personality, but I'm wondering if we can compile our experiences and look for trends.

Of course, none of us A-listers would have personal experience as we are all 8+. but do any of you b-listers have any insight?

I must have told this one here already. In college, I dated this girl who had one stubby thumb (although I did not know it until we were kinda hugged up). We were totally compatible (read: You like Bob Marley's Legend? Ohmigod! Me too!). She was pretty hot.

Then one day, we were lying in her bed in her room and I looked down at that thumb. Ruined everything. It was all I could think about. And it grossed me out. Dumped her the next day. Yeah, I'm that shallow.

But that's not the end. My roomate didn't know about the thumb and thought I was crazy to dump her. In fact, he asked if I cared if he asked her out. I told him to go for it and he did. After a couple of days, I told him to check out her thumb. He did and ended it that day.

Ah, college. The joys of being a true scumbag.
