I like the Germanic-Slav woman (Giordana?) and predicted her to win, but I think she will be out after they boot Christopher next week.

Sadly, I think so too. Giordana has made some nice stuff, but she imploded on the Christina Aguileira thing. I hope that model stays on, though - she's my favorite one.

The Minnesotan with promise was Ra'Mon. I thought he was one of the best. He just lost his way with that reptilian creation.

The short shorts made that stick-figure model's ass look huge. The bustier looked cheap to me.

Kevin. Kevin is the answer. I want to eat all of his food.

Any comments on Schwa? I'd like to see the chef from that restaurant shake things up on a season of Top chef.....

I liked the ew.com recap for last night's episode. A snippet about Chrisopher's garment:

Quote:

It was this ensemble that Nina rewarded with her scathing ''taste…less'' remark. And indeed, the whole thing reeked of amateurishness. ''I wouldn't put that on a chorus girl behind the star,'' said Mackie, who later likened it to the ''road company of the Pussycat Dolls.'' As Nina so expertly pointed out, all while proving her pop culture bona fides, it was a poor-man's revisit of Lady Marmalade — a pathetic retread of a past Christina moment. Here, instead of ''Hey sister, go sister, soul sister, flow sister,'' she'd be singing: ''Hey mister, tool mister, ain't got no clue, mister,'' followed with a little ''Kitschy s---ty tacky caca! … gonna choke-n-barf on this-a!''
I could totally see the Heat Miser singing that little number.

Last week, Jackass Michael was talking about how they all knew who should go home and (I think) Bryan said something like, "Did you taste her food? Because if you didn't, you don't know who the hell should go home." He did something similar last episode as well. I don't like the brothers, but they're clearly talented. And out of the two, I'd rather he win.

Yep, that's him. He's kind of the anti-reality show contestant bc he brings no drama, doesn't talk shit about anybody, and doesn't have an outgoing personality. But he can cook. I'd be ok with him winning, but I'd be happy with any of the top four chefs this season winning (and the top four are undoubtedly the Volt brothers, Jen and Kevin).

I've also eaten at Zaytinya, Mike Isabella's restaurant a few times. It was really good when it first opened but has gone downhill a lot lately. Also, I sat beside him at Minibar a couple of years ago (Minibar is a 6 seat mini-restaurant within a restaurant in DC and is owned by Jose Andres, who also owns Zaytinya and Bazaar, where Michael Volt works) and he struck me as a cocky jack ass at the time, so I guess he's the same IRL as he is on television too.
