A good fried walleye is nothing to sneeze at. But even the tater tot hot dish might be more appealing than PLF.

I've had some pretty good Walleye before.

But you're from Chicago and Hank's from Detroit. Why should any of us think you have any abilitiy to discern good fish?

I fish in Michigan and Wisconsin. And the salmon/steelhead from Lake Michigan is pretty good. As is the perch.

I have nothing against Walleye. And tater tot hot dish is not without a certain quaint charm. But a Friday evening all-you-can-eat fried Walleye fest may be looked down upon by those who prefer small plates at Jaleo.

I had delicious fried perch the last time I was in Green Bay. And you can eat like 6 of them without overeating! Friday fish fry is a requirement every time we head up that way...

Do you think the people of Provence worry what the city-folk think of ratatouille?

Of course, Ty might have made that up just to keep me away.

Garrison, MN, for all its charms, is not Provence.

Fried Walleye has become my pre-Chequamegon meal of choice. I am a fan.
