br(and it looked good, too)c I just realized that that $350/month apartment was about the size of the one I inhabit now, and it had a view. GOD DAMMIT! Well, the furniture is improved. |

God What a Lousy Weekend

We're talking about the pop film genius who started his movie writing career with "Vacation" (1983), and moved on to bring us such greatness as, inter alia, the underappreciated "Mr. Mom" (1983), the sempiternal "Sixteen Candles" (1984), "The Breakfast Club" (1985), "Weird Science" (1985), "Ferris Bueller's Day Off" (1986), and "Planes, Trains and Automobiles" (1987). And I'm skipping the ones that are merely "good" (like "Pretty in Pink") in favor of the ones that merit "great." In other words, in four short years, the man brought us the most quotable and era-defining comedies since Neil Simon or Billy Wilder. Then his career apparently ended. Nothing post-1997 even approaches his prior work, even considering the commercial success of the "Home Alone" (1990, 1992, 1997, 2002) or "Beethoven" (1992, 1993, 2000, 2001, 2003) franchises. He's been living off remakes of far better movies like "101 Dalmations" and "Flubber" and even "Miracle on 34th Street." Is it fair to blame Anthony Michael Hall's puberty? |

Bilmore at a Minnesota wedding and Wonk showing LFM how robust the puppies are.
http://www.phill.co.uk/comedy/benny/benny02.jpg http://rw.hbo.com/larry/cmp/larrysan.../img/Hank1.jpg I took the liberty of finding pictures of the same people but that would work. Geocities won't let you link directly to a picture and show the image and the other one was an actual web page. - L http://timstvshowcase.com/larrysanders.html |

Does anybody know anything about the treatment for OCD? What are the recommended meds and their side effects?

Mass at brunch?
Morning after wedding brunch (at the bride's house), and lo and behold, the priest is there! Mass!
This was not on the brunch invitation. If it had been, my RSVP would have been different. Stop selling me god. And no, I don't want a time share either... |

And God is not for sale (either as a condo as a time share). But if you'd like to talk about the terms on which God is available, let me know. We can have some coffee and chat. |

Non-adherents are not obliged to participate in either, I note, they are just supposed to sit quietly and not roll their eyes. And feel free to sip your coffee if necessary to keep your face from bashing into your presumably still empty plate. Waiting through an unadvertised full mass for my grub would probably tick me off a bit. |

BUT ALL UPPERCASE WORDS ARE ALMOST PERFECTLY SQUARE AND MEANING MUST BE DERIVED FROM THE INDIVIDUAL LETTERS, NOT THE SHAPE, SLOWING THE RATE OF READING COMPREHENSION. This is why legislatures that call for vitally important contractual and waiver language to be placed in all caps, as opposed to bold, italic, or colored ink, are fundamentally misinformed about typography and visual perception.
